Ferrofluid for many applications

Tailored to individual application, there are many different types of ferrofluid available. Notions like magnetic oil, magnetofluid, liquid magnets, magnetic liquid and others are in use. There is a diiference to the magneto-rheological fluids (MRF). They also have magnetic properties, but their composition and properties are much different. While ferrofluids are supposed to not change viscosity with an applied magnetic field, MRF are supposed to change their viscosity as muach as possible with an applied magnetic field.
